What’s your Goat name? and what made him/her so special?
Spiffy was always special to me from day one. He was super sound and super stout and the funnest one I have had to look at. I also think he knew he was good. He was always easy to show and just a joy to be around.

Spiffy

Oklahoma State University
What’s your favorite thing to do in the barn?
Wash and work leg hair.
What’s your favorite show? and why?
Oklahoma Youth Expo. It’s one of the toughest shows around and I enjoy seeing all my stock show friends.
How do you stay focused on reaching your goal?
I was born into a show barn. I have watched my brother and others work so hard to earn banners.
So, I know that you have to keep on working even in the years it doesn’t go your way, because hopefully eventually it will. And I love being in the barn.
Who has been your biggest influence?
There have been several people who have helped me along the way.
My mom, dad and bother been behind me
in both the steer and goat from the beginning.
The Jade Livestock crew has been so helpful in guiding me on selection, feeding and fine tuning my showing.
Destin Emerson has been a staple in helping me on breaking my goats to show and improving my showmanship.
I am truly blessed to be surrounded by great people.
