What’s your Goat name? and what made him/her so special?
My does name is Jules and my wether dams name is Lav. Jules and Lav have been special since the day they were born. The way they are created is something that still amazes us, and we’re excited to see what all they go on to do. Lav is slightly higher in my eyes since she is the first bracing animal I’ve ever shown.

Throughout your show career what’s been your favorite Goat?
My favorite goat was Mae, a Halfmaan doe I showed my first year of showing that I went on to win showmanship at the Oklahoma Youth Expo with. Because of Mae, I found my spark within the livestock industry and knew that showing goats was where I belonged.

What do you tell yourself right before you go into the ring?
Whatever happens, happens. No outcome of this changes who you are.

What’s your dream college to attend?
My dream college to attend is OSU.

What’s your favorite thing to do in the barn?
My favorite thing to do in the barn is working hair.

What’s your favorite show? and why?
My favorite show is the Oklahoma Youth Expo because it’s the show where all your hard work throughout the year shows off.

How do you stay focused on reaching your goal?
By reminding myself why I do what I do and what all I want to accomplish in the future- without staying focused and working hard, your goals are just thoughts.

Who has been your biggest influence?
My biggest influence is my dad. Without my dad, none of this would have ever been possible. I have never met anyone who works harder than he does, and everyday I strive to be half the person he is.

Age: 16

Grade: 11th

Hometown: Hydro, Oklahoma

How long have you lived there?
I have lived in Hydro my whole life.

How many kids are in your grade?
There are about 30 kids in my grade.

Most interesting thing about your town?
The most interesting thing about Hydro would be how it’s such a small town but the community stays so strong. Hydro is full of friendly faces and so many things created for the benefit of the people.

Do you serve on any clubs/organizations? If so, what?
I am a member of Student Council, National Honor Society, the Renaissance Honors Club, FFA, the Livestock Showing Team, and I serve as the junior class Secretary and my FFA chapters Reporter.

Do you play sports? If so what?
I do not play any sports

What is the population of your hometown?
The population of Hydro is about 1,000.

What is one thing you wish you had there?
I honestly feel like Hydro is a pretty complete town. There are multiple places to eat, a beauty salon, grocery store, hardware store, and so much more. There are even new things being built right now. The town of Hydro is pretty small but it’s lucky to have people in it who want the best and do whatever it takes to get there. Having a Sonic would be nice but the ten-minute drive over to Weatherford isn’t that bad.

What is your favorite thing about your hometown?
My favorite thing about my hometown is the people in it. Going to a small school makes it easy to be friends with everyone. I have friendships with kids I never thought I would just because I saw them in the hallway and decided to say hey one day. When you go somewhere in town you never leave without stopping and having a conversation with a familiar face.
