What’s your Goat name? and what made him/her so special?
My does name is Trixy! The day we went to look at goats, Trixy stuck out to my family by her personality! She was one of the craziest ones and we knew from that day forward she was going to be good!
Throughout your show career what’s been your favorite Goat?
This year I have had some pretty special goats! Trixy and one of my wethers, Groovy, who was selected Reserve at the Gold Buckle Gala, would have to be my two favorites! They both have helped me achieve some of my goals for the year!
What do you tell yourself right before you go into the ring?
Before I go into the ring, I always say a prayer to calm my nerves! I also remind myself what I need to do to get the animal set up to my best ability! And of course it all ends with a fist bump from my Mom and Dad!
What’s your dream college to attend?
I would love to attend Redlands and Oklahoma State University because of how awesome of an Ag program both schools have!
What’s your favorite thing to do in the barn?
My favorite things to do in the barn are rinse and blow and also mix drenches! They both have a huge part in being successful! I love seeing an animal go from having no hair to having a ton!
What’s your favorite show? and why?
My favorite show is the Aksarben! It has always been a show that is ran very well and had lots of competition! This show has helped me become a better showman. It also is super layed back and a show that my family and I have the best time at!
How do you stay focused on reaching your goal?
I stayed focused to reaching my goals by going out to the barn everyday and making sure everything is done correctly! Success doesn’t come unless you work hard and stay dedicated!
Who has been your biggest influence?
I have had so many good influences in my life! One of them would have to be my parents! They have taught me how to work hard and never give up! Without them I wouldn’t be as successful as I am today! Also another person that has influenced my life is Riley Hoyle! She was my counselor one year at a YGB camp! She made a big impact in my life by showing me how to be a good showman and an even better person!
