How many years have you been showing? Do you show any other species?
I have shown for 10 years. I also show sheep.
Other hobbies besides showing livestock?
Why would I need another hobby if I can show livestock?
Best stock show memory:
My best stock show memory would be winning the Market Lamb show at Arizona Nationals. I had never shown at that show before and making the 20 hour drive I just wanted to go have fun. I always dreamed of winning a national show but so many others dream of that too. I doubted myself often and thought I would never be able to do something like that.
Tell us about your recent champions:
The AYE champions name is Jordy and he’s from Fledderjoahnn Show Goats. He is sired by Big Al and was placed by Alex Prickett. He is a barn favorite with a curious personality.
My other goat, Jerry, was fortunate enough to be named grand champion at the state fair under Clay Burson and Reserve grand champion under Spencer Scotten at the AYE. He has always been a favorite in our barn.
What is one word that describes the feelings you had stepping foot into the Grand Drive?
Excited. The celebration of champions will get anyone watching it excited but as an exhibitor getting my name called to run on stage is a feeling I worked for all year.I had just won the Sheep show and I was pumped. I knew that I had worked extremely hard for this moment and was anxious to see if all that work had paid off.
Favorite Livestock Show:
My favorite livestock show would have to be AYE. I never thought that showing under circus tents would be something I looked forward to each year but it is my favorite show.
